I consider it as a unique opportunity to take care of the training of future priests. They are the true artisans who build bridges of reconciliation, justice and peace in Africa and around the world.

Abbé Raymond Goudjo | Benin

Since October 2012, he holds the position of Rector of the Grand Séminaire Interdiocésain Mgr. Louis Parisot in Tchanvédji/Benin. By the help of a scholarship granted by the Institute of Missiology, he earned his doctorate at the Faculty for Catholic Theology in Trier/Germany from 1992-1996. By the end of 1996, he completed his doctorate with a dissertation on the subject "L'éthique sociale et la réalité politique en Afrique (Social ethics and the political reality in Africa)".

In 1997, he co-founded the Institut de Justice et de Paix (IAJP/CO, Institute of Justice and Peace) in Cotonou. The IAJP dedicates its efforts to advancing the development and progress of society through the promotion of science and the improvement of training conditions.

He is also Secretary of the Episcopal Commission of Justice and Peace and of the Commission of Justice and Peace RECOWA/CERAO (Regional Bishops Conference of Western Africa).

Furthermore, he is the author and editor of a number of books. His main topics are reconciliation, justice and peace in Benin but also all over Africa.

Raymond Goudjo’s most recent visit to the MWI took place in 2014, and his personality, his work and his commitment have continued to impress us.
