Interaction and Asymmetry between Cultures in the Context of Globalization

This book is a compilation of all papers that were presented at the IV. International Congress on InterculturalPhilosophy, held in Bangalore, India, September 16 through 20, 2001. The Topic of this Congress was: "The Interaction and Asymmetry between Cultures in the Context of Globalization". Participants from Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America tried to illustrate as the Editor says in his Introduction that "only by creating conditions of social justice and equality at the world level, can be guarantee a free interaction in which the cultures, without the fearof being colonized, can accept and promote from within a mutual transformation&"
