chakana verabschiedet sich! chakana says goodbye! Three years ago we made an attempt to transform our well-known "Yearbook of Contextual Theologies" – a publication of the Institute of Missiology (MWI) – into a new platform for an intercultural theology and philosophy. We would now like to thank our readers for having accompanied us over these three years. We are also indebted to our authors who confided in us with great commitment and appreciation. The far-reaching changes in the general conditions of our Institute unfortunately hinder us from continuing this publication. chakana was intended to be an instrument for building bridges between cultures, ways of thinking, experiences etc. However, we remain true to our vision and our convictions presented in the foreword of the first chakana issue. We will try to concretize them otherwise. Our German-speaking public will also in future get access to non-European theological developments presented within the framework of our book series "Theology of the Third World" (published by Herder).
