Virginia Saldanha         

Virginia Saldanha, born 1947 in India, is a woman activist working in India for the empowerment of lay people, especially of women. She is the Executive Secretary of the Office of Laity of the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences and of the Commission for Women in the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India. Besides, she is an Executive Committee member of Pax Christi International. In 2006 she published a book with the promising title "Woman, Image of God".
