Starting with January 2007, the Institute of Missiology introduced a series called "Psalms of the Peoples" to visitors of the MWI website. These Psalms have now been brought together in a small anthology of poetry written by partners of the MWI. In almost the same manner as the Bible did, they show that God's history goes on with his people and that, now as then, people in the whole world live, struggle, trust, question and speak to God in the awareness and assurance of His hidden presence.
The authors of these psalms are natives from Birma, China, India, Benin, Kenya, D.R. Kongo, Nigeria, Uganda, Mauritius, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador. Their verses express the whole range of human emotions presented to God in the different cultural settings of their home countries – thus showing the reality the Institute of Missiology is involved in. We want to say a big Thank You to all those who have sent us their Psalms – also to those, whose texts we could not include into our booklet.
So please, take a look at: "Psalms of the Peoples" If you want us to send the print version, please, let us know: mwi@mwi-aachen.org |
