Jyoti Sahi, an Indian theologian and artist
Waiting - A Psalm from India (January 2007)

Jyoti Sahi

Waiting

The Indian Christian artist of mixed Hindu/Christian parentage was born in Pune (1944). His mother is a British Christian while his father is a Punjabi Hindu. Sahi has devoted himself intensively to Hindu philosophy and mythology. As a Christian theologian and artist he aims at combining these two traditions. He is often called a "wanderer between two worlds" - a "bridgebuilder between religions. Highly respected as both an artist and scholar, he founded an Ashram for artists, the   "Indian School of Art for Peace" in Bangalore (1984).
