Association “Missionswissenschaftliches Institut Missio e.V.”: 

The legal structure of the Associationcomprises of three bodies or committees, whose responsibilities and competencies are laid out in the statutes:      

-        The General Meeting of the Association (the highest decision-making authority)            

-      The Managing Committee of the Association (delegated decision-making authority)   

-  The Academic Advisory Board (consultative body) 

Institute: 

The Institute of Missiology Missio (MWI) has as its own structure:

The Management of the Institute (Director) is responsible for the fulfilment of the aims of the Association and co-ordinates the various sections and tasks. Assisting the Director is the Management Secretariat, the Translation Department   and the book series   “Third World Theology” , as well as MIKADO, assigned directly to the Management. 

The section “Research and Exchange” comprises the continental desks (Africa, Asia, Latin America, Oceania) with their respective secretariats.

The section “Missionary Processes” comprises the desks “Missionary processes in Europe”, “Women’s Research and Feminist Theologies” and “Missionary Conscientization”.

The section “Inter-Church Services” comprises the Project Department and secretariat.

The section “Donations Accounts Department” is made up of donor service and donations administration.
