Contributors:   

  • Dr. Johnson Puthenpurackal, OFMCap has specialized himself in the philosophy of Heidegger from the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. He lectures in different Institutes in India, besides being the regular Professor of Philosophy at Vijnananilayam (Janampet, A.P.). He has to his credit several studies published. He is currently the President of ACPL.
  • Prakash Louis is the Executive Director of the Indian Social Institute, New Delhi. He has been working as a grass-roots activist for over a decade in central Bihar. He gives seminars and lectures in several Institutes. He has authored several boóks and articles on themes of social relevance.
  • Dr. Jose D. Maliekal, SDB on completion of his inter-disciplinary Ph.D. research in the Department of Christian Studies, University of Madras, is presently Principal of the Vishwa Jyothi College, Warangal. He pursued his field work among the Madigas of Konaseema (East Godavari District, A.P., India) and his Ph.D. dissertation is a seminal work in the field of interface between religion and societal transformation.
  • Devasia Muruppath Antony, IMS is currently a Ph.D. research scholar and occasional lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, University of Delhi. He had his M.A. in Indian Philosophy and Religion from Banatas Hindu University, Varanasi. He has presented research papers in various seminars, workshops and symposia.
  • Dr. George Karuvelil, SJ is Professor of Philosophy at Jnana Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pune, besides giving lectures in other centres of learning. He completed his doctoral research at the University of Delhi. As a budding philosopher, he has authored many articles in scholarly journals.
  • Dr. Gnana Patrick is presently a lecturer in the Department of Christian Studies, University of Madras, where he also comleted his Ph.D. research on the socio-religious movement of Ayya Vali in South Tamil Nadu and a post-doctoral research. He holds a post-graduate degree in sociology as well. He gives lectures and conducts seminars in different centres of learning.
  • Dr. George Panthanmackel, MSFS is Professor of Philosophy at Suvidya College and St. Peter's Pontifical Institute of Philosophy and Theology, Bangalore, besides being a visiting Professor to several other Institutes. He secured his Ph.D. from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He has authored several books and articles on themes of philosophical relevance. He is presently the Secretary of ACPI.
  • Samuel Lepcha hails from the Kalimpong subdivision of Darjeeling District in West Bengal and is an emerging theoretician on Lepcha language and tribal issues. He completed his M.Ph. from Jnana Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pune, and is presently Dean of the Department of Philosophy at Morning Star College, Barrackpore, Kolkatta.
  • Dr. Shashi Bala is Reader in the Department of Guru Nanak Studies, Guru Nanak University, Amritsar. She has published several books and numerous articles, and has participated and presented Papers at various Conferences. Her field of specialization is Comparative Study of Religion, and Sikh philosophy.
  • Dr. Pushpa Joseph, FMM currently works at the Department of Christian Studies, University of Madras, as Post-Doctoral and Teaching Fellow. She was the coordinator of EWA (Ecclesia of Women in Asia) in 2002-2003. Her Ph.D. thesis titled "A contextual and critical application of the reconstructionist model of Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza" will be published shortly.       
  • Dr. Stanislaus Swamikannu, SDB, has done his Ph.D. on "Deconstruction" from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium). He has been lecturing in different Institutes in India. Presently he is the Provincial of  the Salesian Province of Chennai. Despite his administrative occupations, he finds time for research and publications.
  • Dr. Joe Mannath, SDB is associate professor at the Department of Christian Studies, University of Madras. He also lectures at other universities in India and abroad. He was the President of ACPI for six years (1994-2000). With his vast erudition and experience he has authored several books and articles. 
  • Dr. George Thadathil, SDB is presently the Principal of the Salesian College, Sonada, Darjeeling, affiliated to North Bengal University. He completed his doctorate from the School of Religion and Philosophy, University of Madras, making a study on Sri Narayana Guru Movement in Kerala. He has co-edited several books and written mana scholarly articles.
