Contributors:   

  • Dr. Joseph Francis Backianadan is a specialist in Gandhian thought. He has been Professor of Philosophy at St. Peter's Pontifical Institute (Bangalore) for several years. Having imbibed the Gandhian Spirit, he is very much involved in the search for truth with his academic researches and achievements.
  • Dr. Mathew Chandrankunnel, CMI, evers since he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Louvain (Belgium), has been Professor of Philosophy at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram (Bangalore). He is slowly establishing himself in philosophy of science with his publications.
  • Dr. Joe Elampassery, SJ is presently the Head of the Department of Philosophy at Loyola College, Chennai. Having done his Ph.D. from the University of Pune, he has been teaching philosophy at Satya Nilayam (Chennai). Being a specialist in Marxism, he is widely sought after for Seminars and classes. He has published several studies.
  • Dr. Vincent G. Furtado, OFMCap, who has done a Ph.D. from the University of Münster (Germany), is presently the Director of Santi Sadhana Research Institute (Bangalore). Although he is repeatedly burdened with administrative responsibilities, he keeps himself fully occupied with academic research. He has published several studies of scholarly nature.
  • Dr. George Karuvelil, SJ., after having completed his Ph.D. from Delhi University, he has been Professor of Philosophy at Jnana Deepa Vidyapeeth (Pune). As a budding philosopher, he is making rapid progress in his academic performances and achievements.
  • Dr. Job Kozhamthadam, SJ is a recognized philosopher of science in India. For several years he has been Professor of Philosophy at Jnana Deepa Vidyapeeth (Pune), besides being visiting professor to several other Institutes of philosophy. He has presented papers at the national and international conferences, and published several books and articles of scholarly nature.
  • Dr. Varghese Manimala, OFMCap has the Ph.D. from the University of Madras. For several years he has been Professor of Philosophy at Vijnananilayam (Janampet, A.P.), and the pioneer Principal of Vijnananilayam Degree College. He has to his credit several scholarly studies published.
  • Dr. George Panthanmackel, MSFS, after having obtained Ph.D. from the University of Innsbruck (Austria), has been Professor of Philosophy at Suvidya College (Bangalore), besides being visiting Professor to several other Institutes. He has authored several books and articles. He is currently the Secretary of ACPI.
  • Dr. Johnson Puthenpurackal, OFMCap has specialized himself in the philosophy of Heidegger from the University of Louvain (Belgium). He delivers lectures at different Institutes, besides being the Professor of Philosophy at Vijnananilayam (Janampet, A.P.). He has to his credit several studies published. Currently he is the President of the ACPI.
  • Dr. Srinivasa Rao is widely recognized as an original thinker and philosopher. He was serving as Professor of Philosophy at the University of Bangalore for several years. At present he is retired. He has participated in several national and international philosophical symposia, and has published several works of academic excellence.
  • Dr. Stanislaus Swamikannu, SDB, having done his Ph.D. on "Deconstruction" from the University of Louvain (Belgium), has been giving lectures at different Institutes. Presently he is the Vice-Provincial of Chennai Salesian Province. Although his "hands" are occupied in administration, his "heart" is with philosophy, as evident from the studies he has authored.
  • Dr. Augstine Thottakara, CMI is an acknowledged Indologist and Sanskrit scholar with vast experience and academic achievements. Presently he his the Dean of Faculty of Philosophy at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram (Bangalore) and Director of Dharmaram Publications. He has published numerous books and articles.
  • Dr. Dominic Veliath, SDB has done Doctorate both in philosophy and in theology. Presently he holds several important positions: Principal and Professor of Theology in Kristu Jyoti College (Bangalore), Executive Secretary to the Doctrinal Commission for CBCI, and member of the International Theology Commission (Rome). He has published several books and articles.
