International Consultation on Globalization from the Perspective of the Victims of History.
Globalization and its victims as seen by its victims

This title is a compilation of papers presented at an International Consultation on Globalization from the Perspective of the Victims of History, held at Delhi, January 18-22, 1998. It was organized jointly by the Institute of Missiology of Missio, Aachen, Germany and the Vidyajyoti College of Theology Delhi. About 35 scholars from the five continents took part in the Consultation. Participants from Latin America and Africa were unable to make it, owing to problems in crossing frontiers. This indicating that the world is not, after all, as global as it is made to appear. The lead papers in each section came from different continents: Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe respectively.

Part 1: Globalization: Its Social Consequences
Part 2: Globalization: Its Culture Bases
Part 3: The Global and the Local: Theological Perspectives
Part 4: Emerging Alternatives to Globalization

This book brings together all the papers that were presented and discussed at the Consultation, as well as the report of the group discussions and the final statement.
